Practice Financial Responsibility

All of us need to learn how to handle money wisely. If we are not able to control our money, most likely, our money will be the one to control us. Many individuals who have become controlled by their finances have ended up becoming materialistic and sometimes caught in the vicious cycle of debt. They are hounded by debt collectors and from the Collection Agency of their lender.

This way of living doesn’t have to happen in your life. A little responsibility and a check and balance can lead you on your way to financial freedom. Below are some principles that can help you in this area.

First is the principle of accounting. You should know where your money is going. Make a list of how you are spending your money. Next is the principle of budgeting. This is simply telling your money where to go. Stay away from impulse buying. Another principle is the principle of saving. Take small amounts from your regular income and save them. A very important principle is the principle of tithing. Give 10% back to God, knowing that everything we have come from Him. We are just His stewards. The last principle is the principle of generosity. Give to others and share your blessing so that you will become a channel of God’s blessing.
